About Enliven

Enliven (verb)

To inspire, heighten or intensify; to give life or spirit to; to revive or animate; to make more lively, cheerful, or interesting; to invigorate, vitalise, enflame, or energise.

The name Enliven was chosen as I felt its meaning best suited my intentions and promises to all my current and future clients.

With over 30 years’ experience being involved in many different sports, including football, boxing, martial arts, tennis, rugby, cricket, surfing, mountain biking and marathon running, many at county level, and with over 15 years spent in the gym and health club environment, I am able to bring to you a vast wealth of experience and knowledge learnt from these different activities to train you more effectively and to further ensure your goals to be realised.

I am very passionate about what I do and I dedicate all of my time to improving the lives and levels of fitness for all of my clients; whether it is just a healthier lifestyle required, to a sports professional where a more specific level of fitness is needed.

THE BENEFITS OF MY PROGRAMMES

Nutrition

I am also qualified to analyse your diet, provide you with realistic dietary advice and help you to implement any necessary changes, as part of your personalised training programme, to dramatically improve your health and wellbeing.

I can help every client understand the partnership between exercise and diet, and how the energy systems are being used to perform different exercises.

All diets, like low calorie, low carb, low fat, Atkins, South Beach etc, do not work and many are dangerous to your health. Good nutrition is now even more important than ever in the fight against obesity, depression, heart disease and a host of other potential health problems.

I appreciate a healthy balanced diet can be difficult to achieve, especially given the modern world we currently live in.

I can guide you and help you to answer questions such as:

    • Is eating late at night bad for me?

    • Should I eat breakfast, what if I don’t have time?

    • How much water should I drink every day?

    • How many calories do I need per day?

    • If I am strength training, how much protein do I need?

    • When and what should I eat after training?
